High-flyers: Stroud Eagles

A new Stroud-based grassroots football club, which founded during the lockdown, has gone on to dominate their age group (U12s) in Gloucestershire.

Playing in the Seven Valley Youth  League (Saturdays) and the Cheltenham Youth League (Sundays), they’ve had a cracking start to their inaugural season. Nine out of nine league wins were recorded before the SVL decided to regrettably null and void the season because of the pandemic.

However, the Cheltenham Youth  League continued apace and the Eagles were rewarded for their continued efforts by becoming champions of the Cheltenham Youth League (Division A) with victory in their final game to secure the title.

The club also started a U11 team during lockdown who finished the season unbeaten.  To find out more about the club, sponsorship and playing opportunities check out Stroud Eagles on Facebook or contact admin@stroudeaglesyfc.co.uk
