One of Stroud’s historic, but most hidden-away, buildings is opening its doors to happy couples this month for a wedding open day.
The Hill, a Grade II listed house in the centre of town dating back to the 17th century, is hosting the open day on Sunday, 23 February from 10am – 4pm for couples to wonder the venue and grounds.
Couples will have the chance to take in the beautiful views of the distant Forest of Dean and embrace the house’s period features, including original oak wood beams, panelling, and Art Noveau ceramic tiles. The building is owned by the Stroud Masons and they will be giving visitors access to the unique Masonic Temple (c1963), to view the high ceilings, masonry regalia, and artefacts.
The Hill is registered for civil ceremonies, giving couples the option to celebrate the whole day at the venue. They also have an award-winning in-house local caterer, Berry Blue, who will attending the Wedding Open Day.
Whether you’re recently engaged or have been searching for a while, don’t miss out on exploring this Stroud venue.
