The annual event shines a spotlight on the craftsmanship of local butchers, recognising the expertise, training and early mornings that go into preparing high-quality meat products. From carefully sourcing livestock to mastering traditional knife skills, butchers play a vital role in the food supply chain and in supporting local farmers.
Supporters are being encouraged to shop local, try something new, and share their favourite recipes on social media to show appreciation for the hard work behind every steak, chop and roast.

Paul’s son Jack, who is a partner in the business, told Stroud Times: “Alongside our longstanding venison deals of 2lb diced venison for £10 & 5lb minced venison for £17.50, we will also have Rump steak at only £8.48 per lb – while stocks last.
