Hospital shop set to reopen

Stroud Hospital’s shop will reopen next week – the first time since March 2020 when the Covid pandemic forced its closure.

“The shop is funded by The League of Friends and all proceeds go to the charity. I know the shop has been extremely missed by staff and visitors to the Hospital and would like to generate some publicity that it is reopening,” said Volunteer Supervisor Anna Binding.

“The shop is run by volunteers, new and old and we will be reopening on Monday 6th March at 10am. We are also looking for volunteers on Thursdays and Fridays – contact Volunteer Supervisor Anna Binding, Anna.Binding@ghc.nhs.uk / 0300 421 8066.”

The original shop was funded by the League of Friends of Stroud Hospitals and opened in 1992 when a cup of tea would set you back 12p, or 20p for a cup of coffee.
