Hot footing: walk over hot coals for charity

Three Stroud-based charities are looking for participants to walk over hot coals in a bid to raise vital funds.

Andy Jarrett, Fundraising and Communications Lead at The Nelson Trust, said: “Participants will raise funds for three great local charities, Allsorts, The Door, and The Nelson Trust. 

“All intrepid participants will receive a full briefing beforehand and a certificate of achievement. 

“If you need some moral support why not register as a team with friends or colleagues! Spectators are welcome to cheer on the brave soles and enjoy the family entertainment. Hot dogs and hot chocolate will be available to purchase.”

The firewalk will be held at Stonehouse Court Hotel on October 22nd between 5.30pm and 9.30pm. 

Gemma Phillips, Sales and Events Manager at Stonehouse Court Hotel added: “We are delighted to be hosting this amazing challenge as we feel it is a great way to support three charities that do so much to support others in our community.”  

Registration is just £30. You must be aged 14 plus and raise a minimum of £100 which can go to any of the charities or split equally between all three.
