WILL Gegg finished with tremendous figures of 7-28 as Sheepscombe rallied for a superb 51-run home victory against Cheltenham 3rds in Division Four of the Greene King IPA Gloucestershire County League, writes Steve Hill.

The visitors were well set at 122-3 when Gegg joined the attack and made an instant impact, taking two wickets in his first over and sparking a collapse to 175 all out.

Gegg’s figures, off only 5.5 overs, are the second-best in the league this summer with only Woodmancote’s Paul Turner faring better with a return of 7-15 on the opening day of the season.
