King’s Stanley CC have gone through a whole season unbeaten and secured a second promotion in two years.
The runaway Division Seven champions ended the the summer with an unbeaten record after thumping Aston Ingham 2nds by 149 runs, Jack Kimber hitting 93 and James Weir claiming 5-12 from eight.
A delighted chairman and player Gavin Dean said: “This season has seen more new players join and represent the club on the field with everyone contributing to this record breaking season.
“Off the field the club continues to be supported by its numerous sponsors and supporters and without these business’s and individuals the club could not survive so we’d like to give a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us this year.
“Only a few years ago the club was on the verge of folding and now after two hugely successful seasons the first team will be back in division 6 of the County League and are hopeful of restarting its second team.”
