Hundreds greet tall ships as they head to festival

Three sailing ships passed through Sharpness Docks this morning, heading towards the Gloucester Tall Ships festival.

Grayhound, Anny and Irene were watched by hundreds of visitors at the port as they headed north on the Sharpness Gloucester Canal towards Gloucester Docks.

The Tall Ships event runs from Friday to Sunday, with the whole of Gloucester Docks packed with performers, street entertainers and maritime events. Boarding passes are available to purchase to climb aboard the vessels over the weekend.
