Forest Green’s flying wing-back Kane Wilson admitted he had to turn to his Google search engine after Quest TV pundit and former Republic of Ireland striker Clinton Morrison labelled him the ‘new Cafu’.
The 21-year-old flyer has been Rovers’ head and shoulders performer this season with a raft of assists and two goals to his name and after his eye-catching performance and sumptuous strike against Salford last time out, he was afforded a special mention on national television.
Cafu, now 51, racked up 142 caps for Brazil in a stellar career that saw him play for the likes of Juventus, Roma, and AC Milan.
“To be honest, I had heard of Cafu, but he was before my time, so I had to look him up and do my research,” admitted Wilson. “It was lovely to get that accolade and compared to a player like that and my family tuned in and watched it all back on Quest.”
