Josh Loveridge has revealed the reason behind his shock departure from County League Sharpness.
The former Frampton and Shortwood coach tendered his resignation on Saturday night after the Sharks lost 2-1 at home to Cheltenham Civil Service.
Loveridge said: “Just to say Sharpness is a great club full of amazing people who I will consider friends for life.
“I have loved being the first team manager at sharpness and I have always given 100% but at this moment in time I’m unable to continue making the sacrifices that come with managing a football team. The lads and the club deserve someone who can continue to give 100%.”
A club spokesperson said: “Josh informed the club of his intention to step down as manager of the first team with immediate effect, due to personal reasons.
“The club would like to put on record our sincerest thanks to Josh for his hard work and dedication over the last 20 months, which included finishing 5th, in the County League last season, and reaching our first cup final in 11 seasons.
“As a club we would like to wish Josh all the best in his future endeavours.”
