After last year’s two-day Stroud Goodwill Festival, the popular event is reverting to a one-night celebration.
The Stroud & District Chamber of Trade & Commerce coordinated last year’s festival, expanding it to a two-day spectacle. This year, the event is set for Friday, December 5, with the Chamber continuing to promote it.
Tony Davey, interim Chairman of the Chamber, told Stroud Times: “There is no single organiser for the event this year, that was co-ordinated by the Stroud and District Chamber of Trade & Commerce last year. None of the stakeholders came forward this year to run it this year.

“Preparations are well underway for the Stroud Goodwill Evening on Friday 5th December, with shops open late, two markets in town, plus the Christmas Tree Festival, Santa’s Grotto and a window display competition.”
Shoppers and families can look forward to festive entertainment, shopping opportunities, and activities throughout the town, making it a perfect start to the Christmas season.
