Wings and Wheels Society members attended The Buccaneer Aviation Group (TBAG) night photoshoot, organised by Threshold.aero, at the former RAF Kemble base last weekend. The aircraft entered service with the Fleet Air Arm in 1962 and the RAF in 1969.
The group experienced the spectacle of one of the two Buccaneers running up its Mighty Rolls Royce Spey Mk101 jet engines, a very loud experience for the uninitiated.
The Threshold team positioned the aircraft and lighting for the anticipated night photoshoot that gave the photographers the chance to capture spectacular images using long exposures.
“This was our second TBAG event that Dave and I attended – we can say how friendly and professional TBAG plus Threshold were at making such a dry cold winter night such an awesome warm one,” said Richard Kelsey.
“Many thanks again to both parties from all at Wings and Wheels Society Dursley, hurrah to TBAG and co!”
