In the saddle: Calcot & Spa team get pedaling for Ukraine

The team at Calcot & Spar are busy pedaling for Ukraine.

Spa trainer Sarah Stratford, fitness manager Charlotte Bane and sous chef Wyn Jones, along with spa members and guests have been jumping on static bikes this week to raise money for the British Red Cross Ukraine appeal.

Sarah said: “As a supporter of the British Red Cross along with other charities,  I felt I very much needed to put together a fundraiser for the Ukraine appeal. At  Calcot & Spa, we have had a fantastic response for donations and supplies that have now made it to Poland. We wanted to then focus on raising money for the British Red Cross to use how they see fit.

“Being lucky enough to work in a busy and thriving spa I decided fitness could help us, the idea for our staff, guests, and members was to join in and seemed unique and an interactive way to raise money.

“We decided to pedal for Ukraine, staff and guests alike all had a go in the seat, clocking up miles all day and throughout the evening, to date, we have clocked up 172 miles so far, these miles represent the miles travelled by the people of Ukraine fleeing their country.”
