Singer-songwriter James Morrison wowed the crowds in Nailsworth this afternoon, Saturday, with an impromptu gig on the rooftop of a popular Nailsworth restaurant.
The Stroud-based singer entertained large crowds, who had gathered outside popular Italian restaurant Amalfi to watch the chart-topping, multiple-Platinum, BRIT Award-winning singer, who was joined on the roof alongside his daughter Elsie.

Amalfi owner Mario, who opened the Market Street eatery in 2017, told Stroud Times: “This is brilliant for Nailsworth. I’ve know James for a long time and his family enjoyed a meal at our restaurant first and then he agreed to perform on the rooftop with his daughter.”
Morrison rose to recognition for his 2006 debut single You Give Me Something and other hits including Broken Strings with Nelly Furtado and I Won’t Let You Go.

Morrison is set to release his sixth album Fight Another Day on October 3.
Launched alongside its title track and new single, Fight Another Day represents his first all-new record in six years and is further accompanied by the news that he will headline four UK dates in Birmingham, Glasgow, Manchester and London this September.
