Forest Green have signed striker Jordon Garrick from Swansea City.
The 24-year-old joins Rovers on an 18-month deal after spending the first half of the season on loan at Lincoln City.
Garrick made 16 appearances while at the Imps – making his debut against Forest Green in a 1-1 draw at Sincil Bank in August.
The athletic forward has also had loan spells at Swindon Town and Plymouth Argyle over the last couple of seasons. He was a regular for Argyle last term – scoring seven goals and providing eight assists across 50 appearances in all competitions.
Garrick – who will wear the number 11 shirt – joined Swansea in 2015, making 19 first-team appearances.
Upon joining the club, he said: “It’s amazing to sign for Forest Green. I can’t wait to start training and to get ready for the games.
“The way the Head Coach wanted to get the move done straight away showed how serious he is about me as a player. It made perfect sense for this to be my new home.
“The move has taken me by surprise but I’m really happy about it and can’t wait to get started.”
Ian Burchnall, Head Coach, added: “We’re delighted with the signing of Jordon. He’s an attacking player who can play anywhere across the front three.
“He’s powerful, quick and adds something that we’ve lacked. He adds pace and directness into the team.
“He came really well recommended from those at Swansea and he’s had a couple of loans already, so we’re pleased to get him in.”
Head of Performance & Recruitment, Stevie Grieve said: “It’s great to welcome Jordon to FGR.
“He will add dynamism, energy and he has the ability to really stretch a game.”
