Stonehouse Town 3 Shortwood 2 – Hellenic League Division 1
Jack Hill and Nick Humphreys scored two late goals inside a minute to help Stonehouse come from behind to defeat rivals Shortwood United, writes Jim Cunneen.
In the final game of the season, all five goals came in the second half. Wood took the lead as Elliot Martin raced through to fire beyond Ryan Smallwood. The lead lasted seven minutes before former Shortwood striker Luke Soule turned smartly in the box to shoot home.

Martin had a header from a Fin Byrnes corner headed off the line before Wood regained the lead. Byrnes’ free-kick was headed clear but Dan Gayner wasted no time in hammering the ball home.
The game swung from end-to-end and with three minutes to go, Jack Hill shot across Wright into the comer and almost immediately the impressive Humphreys scored the winner with a shot from the edge of the area.
