RAM theatre festival at Studio 18 is a proud celebration of grass-roots theatre in Stroud.
The debut theatre festival is taking place from the 16th to the 28th of September 2024, and aims to create a place for the people of Stroud to experience the best, freshest and most exciting fringe theatre.
Over 13 days audiences will get to experience 8 different productions and a cabaret showcasing the slickest, sexiest and funniest talents around. And all at an affordable sliding scale price of £8 – £12
Highlights of the festival include:
Gurt Haunted, a hilarious parody of Most Haunted, not to be missed!
Watch Me Die – A pitifully sad and darkly comic interactive tale about social media and addiction, set within the funeral for the de-activation of a social media account.
I don’t Have a Math’s GCSE – Where Mia Borthwick spins her struggles at school suffering with Dyscalculia into theatrical gold, with a romping, feel good epic.
Studio 18 are also mentoring two artists, Carrick Stimson-Machers and Jess May Cox, who are at the beginning of their career and who will work with the festival to debut a professional play. A rare opportunity for emerging artists in the industry and an essential step in developing their craft.
Stroud local Carrick Stimson-Machers says: “This opportunity looks to give me all the tools and guidance I need to take the right steps towards making professional work as a solo performer.”
Come along and support these artists and treat yourself to an amazing night out at a reasonable price!
