Dear Editor,
I attended the Remembrance Service at Park Gardens, Stroud and I’m aghast that a resident took it upon himself to disrupt it by opening his window and playing music as loud as possible.
The service was stopped while the situation was being resolved. One lady shouted up at window that he was being disrespectful and received warm applause.
The service was attended by all Stroud’s major dignitaries. including our
MP.

A police spokesperson said: “Police officers who were taking part in a Remembrance service at Park Gardens in Stroud attended an address in Slad Road just after 11am on Sunday, November 10.
“Music was being played from inside the property, causing disruption to the ceremony.
“Officers spoke to the male occupant of the property who then turned the music off.
“Words of advice were given and inquiries are ongoing.”
