Letter to the editor: this is about people, not politics

MOST READ

Dear Editor,

We’re getting back to business as usual but some things need to change. Our new Prime Minister wasn’t appointed by voters and doesn’t enjoy the support of a majority of British people.

Labour’s Annual Conference almost adopted proportional representation as party policy last year. I agree with the Best for Britain campaign, I hope local Labour members and activists plan to make sure it gets passed at their conference next week.

This isn’t just a party rule change. This is about the people being failed right now. This is about electing a government that actually matches what people vote for, and one that helps people in need. This is about people, not politics.

Yours,

Barbara Imrie
