In a Stroud League Division One top-of-the-table clash, Chalford Reserves travelled to Kingswood on Saturday.

The visitors netted twice in the first half, but Kingswood equalised after the break – retaining their third place in the table, behind Tredworth Tigers and Rodborough Old Boys. Chalford Reserves are just one point behind and with a game in hand.

Archaeologists uncover sacred site

Archaeologists working near Cirencester in the Cotswolds have discovered coins and iron spear heads, as well as miniature bronze shields and spearheads, at a major ‘votive’ site dating back to the late Iron Age (c.100BC- 43AD).
