Longfield fundraiser claims TWO Guinness World Records

Cyclist Dan Boulton, with support from crew Matty Bush and Jamie Bonthron have bagged two Guinness World Records after a gruelling 24-hour cycle through Europe.

Dan cycled 372 miles through Italy, Switzerland, Liechtenstein, Austria, Germany, France, Luxembourg and Belgium in 22 hours 43 minutes to equal the world record for the number of countries cycled through in 24 hours, and set a new world record for the number of countries cycled through in 12 hours. Dan and his team raised more than £4,000 for three local charities, including £1,795 for Longfield.

After submitting 156 pieces of evidence for approval, yesterday he received formal confirmation that he is now a double Guinness World Records Title Holder.

“I just wanted to take this opportunity to say thank you one more time to everyone who supported me, sponsored me and believed in me. I’m truly blessed with having such a fantastic support network of family and friends. What a journey, what an honour.

“What started out as a crazy little plan to raise money for charity back in April 2022 turned out pretty darn good. Over £4,000 was raised between the three charities. Plan. Prepare. Execute. We did it!” said Dan on his Facebook page.
