A major power cut in Stroud has left more than 684 properties without power, this morning, Thursday.
The power cut was reported at 7.30am. The outage has also impacted businesses’ on the Salmon Springs Trading Estate.
Commercial Director and business owner of Kitchen Garden Food Limited, James Horwood told Stroud Times: “For the second time in five months we are without power on the estate.
“Reassured by National Grid they’re working on the issue, it’s still frustrating for this to happen again so soon. We’ve been out of power since about 730am with all production grinding to a halt. Along with not being able to receive or despatch orders, we’re just waiting in limbo. We were told power would be restored by 9am, this then changed to 11am. That time has now passed with power still off.”
A spokesperson for National Grid said: “We are aware of the power cut affecting GL6 6NU. The incident was raised at 7:30am this morning and our engineers are working to get the power returned as quickly as possible. We are sorry for any inconvenience this is causing you.”
