Major update on Long Table

The Long Table remains open for business despite the sale of its headquarters in Brimscombe Mill.

In March, Stroud Times revealed the Long Table was looking for a new home for the second time in less than three years.

In a video post on social media, Long Table general manager Will North said: “We’re still in negotiations to stay and we’re incredibly hopeful and we’re filled with more hope when anyone comes down and asks for more news, we feel loved and very much supported.”

A further statement on the Long Table website says: “Despite there not being a definitive answer to our warehouse conundrum, we want to tell our community that we are still very much open.”

Stroud Times launched a campaign to save the Long Table by enlisting the support of Academy Award and BAFTA winners who pledged their support to save the Brimscombe Mill community.

The Long Table is part of the Grace Network social enterprise organisation and one of a number of businesses, including The Furniture BankBike Drop and Kids Stuff.
