A man has been arrested in connection with a report a man was masturbating near the canal along the Ebley Bypass in Stroud earlier this week.
Police had also received a report of a man and a woman being approached by a man who threatened to spray a substance in their face.
Both incidents were believed to have involved the same man and happened around 5pm on Monday 5 September.
Last night (Wednesday 7 September) officers arrested a man aged in his 30s and of no fixed address in connection with the incidents. He remains in police custody. A spray canister was also seized.
