Man assaulted in Stroud by an unknown group of four males

The man aged in his 60s was kicked and pushed from behind.

A man aged in his 60s was assaulted by an unknown group in Stroud town centre earlier this week and police are appealing for witnesses.

At around 12.05 am on Wednesday 30 June the man was kicked from behind and pushed to the floor by the group of four males outside Betfred on High Street.

Those involved have been described as all being white, aged around 20-years-old and approximately 5ft 8ins in height. One of them had black hair and was wearing a black jacket with a yellow cross on the back.

CCTV enquiries are taking place and police are now appealing for anyone who witnessed the assault or who may have information which could assist the investigation to come forward.

The victim suffered bruising and swelling to one of his legs.
