Stroud book designer Megan Sheer has been co-opted to Stroud Town Council, writes Marianne Sweet.

Megan, who has lived and worked in Stroud since 2004, will represent Uplands ward.

“I love living in Stroud, being a part of the Uplands community and raising my children here,” said Megan.

“I’m passionate about providing our children and young people with a fun, happy and bright future, particularly given the difficulties living though a pandemic and facing the climate and ecological crisis has presented to the younger generation.

“I’m also really interested in addressing the road safety and traffic problems in Stroud and hope to help work towards making the town a more pleasurable and safe place for cyclists and pedestrians.”
