Minchinhampton Rangers Lightening U12s are looking for talented footballers to complete their 11-a-side squad for next season.
Head coach Matthew Connors-Jones, who is a FA qualified coach and a Coerver trained instructor – a method used in France, Netherlands and Germany, explained: “We’re a warm and welcoming bunch, playing in Division A in the Severn Valley League, where we play against club and academy teams from across Gloucestershire, which means we are looking for players who want to step up their game or are feeling frustrated at their current level and want to compete at a decent level with other good players.
“Our coaching and training sessions focus not only on developing and improving core skills, match conditioning and game management, but also on boosting the players confidence and ability to have fun on the pitch, because that’s what football is all about and it’s when they play the best football.
“We also focus on keeping our squad small in order to allow everyone to get good game time.”
Minch play every Saturday morning and train Mondays, 5.45pm at Beaudesert Astroturf during the winter and Minchinhampton Polo Fields for the rest of the year.
Children aged 12, currently in Year 7, are welcome to attend an upcoming open session. More details can be found by contacting: mattconnorsjones@gmail.com
