Mindless vandals spray paint penis on ancient oak tree

An oak tree thought to be hundreds of years old has been vandalised at Bank Gardens in Stroud.

The lewd act of vandalism shows a phallic image, which has caused upset amongst nearby residents.

Annabell Walker was horrified when she spotted the vandalism near her home on Lansdown Road, she said: “It’s just a shame that someone would do that. I’ve come home to see that from my flat, but primarily find it rather sad that someone would vandalise such a prominent tree of that age and think it’s ok. I was told it was a Holm oak and probably been there before it was made a park.”
