Missing tortoise is reunited with owners

A runaway tortoise has been reunited with his family.

Oogway was found by the roadside on Culver Hill in Amberley by Michelle Hudd and taken to Clockhouse Veterinary Hospital on Friday.

Owner Michael Ratcliffe told Stroud Times: “He was wandering around the house and we must have left the back door open.

“We think he travelled 500 metres – across a bit of woodland, and the common. We’re delighted to get him back, he’s deeply loved, but we had a sleepless night – this is his first walkabout and we’re now looking at tracking devices.”
