The Wings and Wheels Society Dursley, in conjunction with the Gloucester O Gauge Group (Glos GOG) is staging its second model railway show.

The show will be held on Sunday, June 8th at Dursley Community Centre, opening at 10.30am. Organiser Rich Kelsey said: “Looking back at our last show, due to a great public turnout we made a healthy donation to our nominated charities, and because of this a Defibrillator unit was installed on the side of Dursley Community Centre and Rednock Sport Hall.

“The show is the concept of The Wings & Wheels Society Dursley and the Gloucester O Gauge Group, working within and for the local communities and charities. Proceeds raised from this year’s show will generate two charity donations, one for the Blood Bikes and the other for the Community Centre that is a charitable trust. If successful we will look forward to planning another charity event in 2026.”

The show will have three rooms of working model railway layouts & dioramas (in N/O/OO/3mm gauge), with trade, demonstration, charity and society stands. The show has a part emphasis on local railways as it will feature a model diorama of Dursley Station.

“We will also have a stand with local Dursley Branch Line photos and memorabilia on show, along with the Avon Valley Railway, and the Vale of Berkeley Railway stands, including an impressive Model of Berkeley Station. The 2025 show will feature a total of approximately 16 model railway layouts and diorama’s operating throughout the day by clubs from Bristol, Thornbury, Swindon, Forest of Dean, Cheltenham and Taunton. We will have a Hornby Dublo layout named ‘Memory Lane’ that can be operated by children and adults visiting the show. We hope this event will be enjoyed by family’s, old and young, as well as enthusiasts, please come and support us,” added Mr Kelsey.

Entry is £5 per adult, £3 for under 16s, £10 for a family, under 5s free. Refreshments and bar available. Free Parking, disabled Access to ground floor only.
