Morning traffic chaos: an accident waiting to happen

MOST READ

Dear Editor,

The traffic around Rodborough School in the mornings has become completely chaotic since Bath Road was closed. Congestion has increased dramatically, creating dangerous conditions for pupils, parents, cyclists, and other road users.

Every morning there are long queues, frustrated drivers. It feels like an accident waiting to happen.

What is most concerning is the apparent lack of accountability. The council highways department has introduced changes that have clearly had a significant impact on traffic, yet there seems to be little acknowledgement of the problems they have created.

Residents deserve answers. Has a proper traffic impact assessment been carried out? What monitoring is taking place? More importantly, what action will be taken before someone is seriously injured?

The current situation is unacceptable.

Yours faithfully,
