Mystery animal spotted near Nailsworth

A startled motorist couldn’t believe her eyes when spotting a mystery creature in a field near Nailsworth.

The woman, who didn’t want to be named contacted Stroud Times after the unusual sighting above Culver Hill on her drive to Nailsworth.

She said: “Whatever it was sauntered across the top of the hill and then broke into a run. I did think it might be a huge dog, but it moved like a cat

“It was quite a distance away up the hill so the scale of it nearly made me crash. I can only describe it as the biggest cat-like creature I’ve ever seen and it was the size of a small pony.”
