Nailsworth business owner Hannah Finch started her optical journey back in 1997 at Stroud Vision Centre.
Upon leaving, Hannah dispensed at several practices in the surrounding area before opening Finch Optical in October 2019 when she bought the former Bailey Eyecare based in Old Market, Nailsworth.
Almost as soon as Finch Optical was open, Covid-19 struck. However, Hannah felt it was important to play her part in the community and volunteered to remain open for emergency and urgent care.
The pandemic also had an effect on The Optical Shop on George Street which sadly went into administration in July 2020 and the patients’ records were transferred to Finch Optical for safeguarding.
Hannah was delighted to open the practice in the heart of Nailsworth as she really believes in giving all patients an individual experience at Finch Optical, ensuring that they receive the best possible care.
Finch Optical has four highly experienced Optometrists in the practice to assess eye health using traditional methods. Patients can also benefit from state-of-the-art technology to further examine your eyes using optical coherence tomography (OCT) which is a non-invasive cross-sectional picture of the eye.
Hannah said: “This gives a more comprehensive examination that can detect health conditions up to four years before other examinations pick them up.
As a genuinely independent practice with an eye for design and keeping abreast of current trends, our collections are as individual as the people we serve. With regular additions of new stock, we have plenty of opportunities to help you find the perfect frame for your lifestyle and personality.”
To complement the spectacles Finch Optical offers contact lens fitting and a monthly contact lens scheme whereby all your eye health is taken care of, including all sight tests, solutions (if required) discounts on contact lenses and spectacles and even delivery to your home address.
