A new alternative education provision at Fromehall Mill in Stroud is now able to begin accepting enquiries from potential students after successfully completing Gloucestershire County Council’s due diligence process.
The Resonating Routes Project, which is based at the historic Fromehall Mill on Lodgemore Lane, has now been added to the county council’s online Alternative Provision catalogue.
The development means the new provision can begin working with young people aged 16–25 who may have struggled in traditional educational settings and would benefit from a more personalised and creative approach to learning.
The Resonating Routes Project will combine education with music production, digital media, outdoor learning and practical vocational activities. The programme is designed to help young people rebuild confidence, develop life and employability skills and work towards positive futures.
Fromehall Mill Studios is also planning to offer AQA Awards, alongside qualifications and learning opportunities in music and media.

“We’re delighted to have successfully completed the due diligence process with Gloucestershire County Council and to now be included on the Alternative Provision catalogue.
“This is an important milestone for us because it means we can start having conversations with young people, families, schools and professionals about how we can support them.
“Our aim is to provide a genuinely different learning environment — one where young people can build confidence, discover their strengths and develop skills through subjects such as music and media, while also working towards recognised qualifications.”
The provision will offer personalised learning pathways, with the team able to accept referrals from local authorities, SEND teams, schools, colleges and other professionals. Young people and their families can also make direct enquiries.
Fromehall Mill Studios operates in partnership with Creative Sustainability CIC, with both organisations sharing the historic mill building and a commitment to improving opportunities for young people and the local community.
