Stroud’s dance scene has just stepped up a notch with the arrival of new pop-inspired, commercial dance classes by SOS Dance whose instructors teach choreographed routines created by some of the world’s most formidable dancers in studios across the country.
Nick, a new instructor joining the SOS Dance family, is leading weekly classes at Archway School Sports Centre aimed at creating an inclusive, confidence-building space for anyone aged 16 or over.
Founded by dancer-turned-entrepreneur Bonnie Parsons, the company has expanded from a single London class into a UK-wide community operating in more than 30 towns and cities including Gloucester and Cheltenham. Its focus is not on technical perfection, but on self-expression, confidence and collective empowerment.
Classes in Stroud are designed to be accessible to all levels, from complete beginners to those returning to dance after time away.

Classes start at £12 with booking available through the SOS Dance platform here.
Each class breaks down choreography in a supportive setting encouraging participants, known in the SOS Dance world as “Queens,” to learn at their own pace and build confidence through movement.
To mark the start of the new year, Nick will be teaching two new routines — “Scandalous” by Mis-Teeq and “Breaking Dishes” by Rihanna — with classes running every Wednesday at 6.30pm and new routines introduced every 2 weeks.
If you’re lucky, you might even catch Nick teaching one of his classes as drag queen and performer Polly Pocketbook.
