New Forest Green boss Ian Burchnall has landed his first signing of the summer by swooping for highly-rated wing-back Corey O’Keeffe.
The Irishman, who featured in 43 out of 46 league games for Rochdale in 2021/22 and can play on either side of the backline.
Having begun his career with Championship side Birmingham City, the 24-year-old has appeared for Solihull Moors, Macclesfield Town, and Mansfield Town before making a move to the Dale at the start of last campaign.
He told the club website: “I’m delighted to be here and can’t wait to get going.”
“When I heard about the option of moving to Forest Green, I told my agent it was one I wanted to pursue because it’s such a great fit.”
Ian Burchnall, Head Coach, FGR, added: “When I came in I spoke with Rich Hughes about some of the targets and when he said Corey I was really pleased with that one.”
“We played against Rochdale twice with Notts County in the FA Cup and Corey was the stand-out player in both games.”
