Mortimer Gardens in the heart of Nailsworth will host the first Nailsworth Artisan Market this Saturday, 9th August, starting at 10am.

Now under the leadership of the LoveNailsworth Business Group, the market has been revived following the end of the previous operators’ contract. The group plans to run the monthly market every second Saturday, with future plans for additional markets tied to special events.

Liz Townley, Market Manager, shared:“We have an impressive selection of traders, featuring both established favourites and exciting new additions. This month, a sponsored stall by On The Hill supports Nailsworth Food Pantry, collecting essential items for their food bank.”

Tony Davey, Interim Chair of LoveNailsworth, added: “We want this market to be more than just a shopping event — it’s about celebrating our town’s vibrant independent businesses and strengthening connections in our community.”

The market runs from 10am–2pm, a new schedule designed to encourage visitors to stay for lunch and explore the town. Shoppers arriving early can also visit local businesses before the market opens.
