Stroud poet Adam Horovitz will launch his latest book of poetry, Love and Other Fairy Tales, at the Lansdown Hall in Stroud on Saturday, November 20th.
Love and Other Fairy Tales was published at the end of October by
Indigo Dreams press. He will be supported by poet Alun Hughes, singer with the band Lensmen and currently one of the Dialect writers in residence at Lake 32 of the Cotswold Water Park, plus a special guest who will be announced soon.
Adam said: “It’s exciting to be getting back out to do a live gig after what seems like rather a lot longer than 18 months of Zoom events and quiet
reflection in my house in the woods, not being able to see the whites of an audience’s eyes. I’ve missed all that!”
On the night, you can expect poetry, music and strange journeys through
wooded landscapes from the comfort of a safely distanced seat – the venue will be laid out cabaret style, limiting the number of tickets available to make sure that everyone feels comfortable.
The launch event takes place on Saturday, November 20th at 7.30pm in
Lansdown Hall, Lansdown, Stroud, GL5 1BB. Doors open at 7pm and there will be a bar.
Tickets are £5 on the door or £5.30 in advance from
