People on frozen water prompt urgent warning from police

Police have implored the public not to walk on a frozen lake in Stroud.

Reports today, Saturday suggest a number of people have been attempting to walk on icy water at Stratford Park Lake.

Stroud Neighbourhood Policing unit have been patrolling the area this morning.

Posting on social media the team stated: ” We’ve been patrolling areas of frozen water after receiving reports of people trying to walk on Stratford Park Lake. Please do not attempt to walk on frozen lakes, ponds, canals, and reservoirs under any circumstances.”
