Pictures and video: Cotswold Clouds motor trials

MOST READ

The Cotswold Cloud motor trials, organised by Stroud and District Motor Club proved as popular as ever, spectators lining the popular sections at The Ladder in Nailsworth and Crooked Mustard in Dursley.

Only a handful of the 84 competitors managed to complete the Crooked Mustard section and some cars fell victim to mechanical problems on the testing stage.

The event isn’t a race or a rally and is run with landowners’ permission. It’s a test of skill and car control to navigate the slippery, muddy hillsides. Cars must use standard road tyres, must be two-wheel drive and have a driver and ‘bouncer’ a passenger who bounces up and down to help improve traction.
