Dursley Town Council staged the annual Pancake Races on Shrove Tuesday, attracting dozens of competitors despite the rain.
Dursley Mayor, Cllr Alex Stennett told Stroud Times: “It’s the first time I’ve adjudicated this – we revived the tradition in 2010, and Covid stopped us for a bit, but we’re back in full force now.”
The children’s race got proceedings underway, followed by the adult race which was won by BBC Gloucestershire presenter Jamil Foster. The final race of the day was a BBC Gloucestershire derby, again won by Jamil, beating his colleague Josh Perkins.
