Gloucester Tall Ships, the bi-annual festival that celebrates the city’s global connections and maritime heritage is taking place this weekend.

Transport historian Ian Thomas took these photos on Saturday, and among the Tall Ships are Phoenix, which recently featured in Ridley Scott’s blockbuster Napoleon, along with Irene, which has featured in films such as Pirates of the Caribbean and Alice Through The Looking Glass.

The festival concludes tomorrow, Monday 27th.
