On Saturday the mighty 35028 Clan Line SR Merchant Navy Class locomotive blasted through Stonehouse Station and Crossing, writes Rich Kelsey.

It was on a London Victoria to Worcester return journey, a Cotswold Venturer rail tour (on load 10 ten coaches with diesel 47812 at the rear of the train not assisting).

As you can see the Merchant Navy was going well on both legs of its trip, especially on the return journey building up speed for Sapperton Bank no doubt, and what a roaring fine machine it is!
