Tetbury Town (orange strip) visited Kingswood on Saturday in the Stroud League Division One clash.
The visitors were dominant in the first half but couldn’t find a way past Kingswood’s goalkeeper and captain, Tyler Hopkins.
After the break Tetbury made the breakthrough with goals from Billy Montague and Oscar Purnell.
Manager Kevin Purnell told Stroud Times: “We had a difficult first half – we didn’t play to our capability and gave the ball away quite cheaply.
“In the second half we had more tempo and we were the better team – and I think the result reflects that.”
Tetbury are currently second in the table, having been leapfrogged by Painswick, who have a game in hand. Kingswood languish at the bottom of the table below Sharpness Reserves.
