Police appeal after mystery drone spotted over Nailsworth

An unidentified drone has been spotted flying over Nailsworth.

An eyewitness saw the drone above Nailsworth Tennis Club on Friday afternoon.

The eyewitness told Stroud Times: “I was having my lunch in the garden when I saw the drone near the tennis club and then it flew off towards the town and back again. It was much larger than the normal drones that I’ve seen before.”

Police confirmed a drone had been spotted in Gydynap Lane, Inchbrook on Wednesday, September 4.

A police spokesperson said: “We’re appealing for information following a drone flying above the parking area of a nursery in Gydynap Lane, Inchbrook.

“We are looking for information in relation to this incident or if there is any CCTV available or witnesses that might have seen where the drone has landed. 

“We are trying to locate the owner of the drone in order to discuss the incident due to the location of the drone being flown over.

“If you have any further information about this incident, we’d like to hear from you.”
