Officers are appealing for witnesses to a knifepoint robbery in Stroud over the weekend.

The incident happened around 1.30am on Sunday (24 December) on Cainscross Road near Homebase.

A man approached the victim and grabbed him, then threatened him with a knife and demanded the victim hand over his personal property.

The offender, who was described as being white and taller than 5ft 8ins, stole the victim’s Google Pixel 8 phone, his wallet and keys.

He had his hood up and was wearing a white face covering and a black coat. He then fled in the direction of Gannicox Road and Burford Drive.

The victim, who is aged in his 20s, was not injured but is shaken by the ordeal.

Investigating officers are asking for anyone who lives in the area and has CCTV or witnessed what took place to make contact with police.
