Police appeal following fatal collision

A man who sustained serious injuries following a collision near Dursley last month has died and officers are appealing for witnesses.

Police were called by the ambulance service at around 8.50am on Saturday 23 May with a report of a single vehicle collision on Tickshill in Coaley.

The incident involved a man who was riding an Electrically Assisted Pedal Cycle and took place near to Twyning Ash.

Emergency services attended and the man, aged in his 70s, was taken to Southmead Hospital in Bristol for treatment to serious injuries.

The man remained in hospital for treatment and later died from his injuries. His family are now being supported by specially trained officers.

Officers from the Roads Policing Unit are continuing to investigate what happened and are asking anyone with information to come forward.

They are also keen to hear from anyone who has CCTV or dashcam footage which they believe to be relevant.
