Police are appealing for dashcam footage of two vehicles following an incident near Sharpness Docks last week.
The incident, which involved a silver Vauxhall Vivaro van and a white BMW 320D, happened on Bridge Road between 8pm and 9.15pm on Friday 29 May.
It was reported that the driver of the van had initially given way to the car at a junction before subsequently overtaking it and slamming on the brakes.
Two men then exited the van and approached the car, with one of them smashing the driver’s side window and the other smashing the passenger window.
They then attempted to open the doors of the car before the victim was able to drive away.
Officers investigating the incident are now appealing for anyone with information to come forward. They are particularly keen to hear from anyone who has dashcam footage of it.
It is understood that both parties knew each other.
A man in his 30s from the area was arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage. He has been released on bail while enquiries continue.
