Police appeal for information after men in ski masks threaten Stroud residents

Gloucestershire Police are appealing for information following a disturbing incident in which two men wearing ski masks reportedly entered a block of flats on Slad Road, threatening residents with weapons.

The incident occurred between 10.15pm and 10.45pm on Sunday 27 July, when the two suspects entered the property armed with a hammer and a knife.

It is alleged that the men threatened one resident with a knife, demanding drugs. A second individual managed to escape through a window when the suspects entered another flat moments later.

The suspects had left the scene before police arrived, and while no physical injuries were reported, those involved were left badly shaken.

Gloucestershire Constabulary is now seeking witnesses and any relevant footage that may assist with the investigation. Officers are particularly interested in CCTV or dashcam footage recorded between 10pm and 11pm on Slad Road or in the surrounding area on the night of the incident.

Anybody with information is asked to contact Gloucestershire Police through the website, quoting incident 414 of 27 July: https://www.gloucestershire.police.uk/contact/af/contact-us/us/a-crime-that-has-already-been-reported/

Information can also be submitted anonymously by contacting the independent crime-fighting charity Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 or through their online form: https://crimestoppers-uk.org/give-information/forms/give-information-anonymously
