Police are appealing for witnesses following a collision on the A38 near Cambridge on Thursday, yesterday.

Police were called at 7.50am with a report of a collision involving a black Mini and Red Kia near Elm Farm.

Emergency services attended and the driver of one of the vehicles was taken to Gloucestershire Royal Hospital to be assessed.

A number of road closures were put into place between Fromebridge Mill and Slimbridge and later lifted.

Enquiries are ongoing and investigating officers are keen to hear from anyone who saw these vehicles being driven or anyone who has dashcam or CCTV of them.

It is understood that a few motorists stopped but then continued on their journeys and officers would also like to hear from these people as they may be able to help with enquiries.
